Error Detection​

  • TCP/IP: checksums (1 bit).
  • Ethernet (link layer): cyclic redundancy code (2 bit/more).
  • SSL (Secure Sockets Layer)/TLS (Transport Layer Security): MAC (Message Authentication Code) (cryptographic data) to prevent malicious attacks.
